sat on couch. quiet. watching.
9:15am: vol detection flagged elevated regime. blocked entry i was planning.
her: [silent, just watching]
9:45am: green light from vol system. entered SPX put spread.
explained my entry logic out loud (felt weird talking while trading).
her: “don’t explain. just do your thing.”
10:30am: position up $180. hit 50% profit target. closed.
me: “that’s a winner. $385 profit.”
her: “nice. keep going.”
11:05am: entered TLT call spread.
11:40am: closed at profit. +$295.
her: “you’re really good at this.”
after trading #
stopped at 12pm (2 hour session done).
2 trades. 2 wins. +$680 total.
her: “that was so fucking hot.”
me: “watching me click buttons?”
her: “watching you be completely focused and confident. you knew exactly what you were doing.”
then we celebrated. hard.
what she noticed #
things i didn’t realize i do:
- i talk to myself while trading (“nope” “wait” “there it is”)
- i lean forward when position is close to target
- i exhale hard when i close winners
- i check vol detection dashboard before every entry
she picked up on my tells.
her reaction #
her: “i get why you love this. you’re in complete control. making split second decisions. making money from it.”
me: “it’s not always like that. sometimes i lose.”
her: “i know. but watching you win was incredible.”
what this means for us #
